Tasty Meals and Snacks to Prepare in Your RV

Tasty Meals and Snacks to Prepare in Your RV

Burgers and dogs. Wieners and beans. Sandwiches and cereal. These are all classic, staple camping meals but there are SO many other possibilities when it comes to cooking and prepping meals in or outside of your RV.  We’re here to save you from your RV cooking rut with some fabulous meal ideas, recipes and kitchen gadgets

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day (or so they say). You may be the type who is happy to start their day with a hot cup of coffee or tea and a pastry, but many need a more hearty meal to get themself moving.  Bacon, egg and toast lovers will want to check out our Griddles and Campsite Toaster. These items are easy and convenient to use on your outdoor grill or an open fire.

Craving pancakes? Stop worrying about the messy batter all over your trailer’s kitchen. The Pancake Batter Dispenser will take away the mess and make your breakfast wishes come true! Don’t forget to pack your slow cooker the next time you head out.  Overnight Breakfast Crock-Pot Casserole is a sure crowd-pleaser. With minimal prep time the night before, you and your crew will wake up to a fully prepared and delicious smelling morning meal.

Lunch

Lunch is often overlooked because you are too busy having fun. Many people choose the convenience of leftovers or a grab-and-go buffet-style lunch with simple, classic choices like crackers, cheese, cold meats, chopped fruit, and veggies, whatever pleases your hungry crowd.

The Panini Press and the Cast Iron Sandwich Cooker, both from Rome Industries, will take sandwich making to a whole new level.  The Panini Press presents endless possibilities. Just choose your favorite bread, meats, cheeses, and more than let the press do its thing over the grill, fire, or stove. It is also a great way to repurpose leftovers like roasted chicken, pulled pork, or roast beef. The Cast Iron Sandwich Cooker will be a favorite of parents and kids alike, as it is a quick and easy way to make an ooey, gooey grilled cheese or a sticky sweet Nutella and banana sandwich.

Dinner

You’ve had a busy day, making memories and having adventures. Choose something fun and new that everyone can enjoy making and eating together in the Great Outdoors (or the dining tent).

If you’ve never tried cooking a complete dinner on an open fire then the Basket Broiler should be on your shopping list.  The basket broiler will hold and cook your meat, veggies, and potatoes all together so all you need to do is have a seat by the fire, grab a drink and rotate the basket broiler every few minutes to ensure that your food is evenly and thoroughly cooked.

Your slow cooker can definitely come in handy again at dinner time, with so many “set it and forget it” recipes that can cook throughout the day without supervision. Slow cooker ribs are the perfect way to enjoy the best of both worlds. Just pop your ribs into the cooker around lunchtime, seasoned with your favorite rub and a liquid of your choice (anything from apple juice to a rum and cola mixture). Let them cook for the day and, just before you are ready to eat, toss them on the grill to finish them up nice and crispy. If you’re dealing with a more traditional meat and potatoes crowd, you can even do a full Roast Beef Dinner without even turning on the oven. You’ll be the talk of the campground with all of these delicious alternative meal ideas!

RV Kitchen Accessories & Gadgets

Whether you’re cooking with gas or an induction cooktop, you’ll want to be sure that you have the proper cookware. Storage space is always at a premium in any kitchen so you may want to consider a set of nesting pots and pans to save space. When your travel trailer’s cooktop is not in use, a range or cooktop cover is the perfect solution to add counter space for food prep or even store your small appliances. Unbreakable glasses, sink mats, cupboard hooks … the possibilities are endless to outfit your RV kitchen in style, comfort, and convenience with our incredible selection of accessories and gadgets.
