GlobalLink 520 4G LTE-M Remote Monitoring Device with 5-Year Pre-Paid SIM Card Uses AT & T & T-Mobile
We believe that having insight into your installation is a key factor in maintaining and operating your off-grid energy solutions. Off-grid should not mean off-line, so we have created the GlobalLink 520. This device will bring 4G LTE-M connectivity to all VE.Direct enabled devices without any monthly fees or subscriptions, for the first five years.
Global Connectivity with 4G LTE-M
LTE-M is the abbreviation for LTE Cat-M1 or Long Term Evolution (4G), category M1. This cellular technology is designed to connect Internet of Things devices to existing 4G towers while using low energy. LTE-M does support handovers and roaming so it is possible to use this device in a moving vehicle like a campervan. Check the list in our GlobalLink 520 manual to see if LTE-M is officially confirmed to be available in your area. Coverage is increasing every week as local providers roll out support. Your purchase includes 5 years of connectivity, so there is no need to worry about purchasing a separate data bundle and SIM-card.
System Monitoring & Control
The GlobalLink 520 comes with two communication ports, which allows connecting up to two VE.Direct devices such as a BMV Battery Monitor and/or a MPPT Solar Charge Controller directly to VRM. With two digital inputs that also act as pulse counters and a remote controllable relay, it's a perfect solution to monitor and control your installation.
Antenna Built-In
The GlobalLink 520 comes with a built-in antenna that is designed to work all around the globe. However if you require better reception or want to install your module in a utility van for example, it is also possible to mount an external antenna.
Victron Remote Management
The online Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal provides you with access to your installation, from anywhere, at any time. In VRM you can check the status of your connected products, view detailed history graphs of your energy, generate detailed analytical reports, and even configure automatic alarms in case something goes wrong.
