RV Resorts in Arizona - For Camping & RVing

Arizona is one of the hottest states in the USA. Home to teams in 4 major professional sports leagues, it shows how it has variety for everyone visiting. Not only are they big on sports, but they are also home to the Grand Canyon! Honestly, who hasn’t thought about seeing the Grand Canyon once in their life it has appeal for everyone. While that is the biggest draw to the state, people go for many different reasons.

But like any other attraction, when exploring the vast lands of Arizona, you are going to need to stay somewhere in your RV. So, it’s good to know Arizona is home to many beautiful and great RV resorts to park at and enjoy your stay! Through this article, we will examine the top 5 in Arizona, and after reading this you will be sure to be packing a bag and heading southwest.

1. Cave Springs

This RV Park is located near Sedona and features beautiful views of the red rock cliffs and more of the natural desert beauties that Arizona is home to. This park is great for those who want a more intimate and private camping experience. Everyone has their tastes, and not everyone wants to have a flashy camper or site that everyone can poke their heads into. This is perfect for Cave springs because their sites are located within thickets of ponderosa giving campers some privacy. If that’s not enough for you, look into some awnings and addons you can add to your RV for camping.

This RV Park has more traditional RV amenities similar to a camping ground which will be great for those who want a nature-filled experience. The park has hookups, allows fires and pets, and has vault toilets along with token-operated showers. If that’s not your vibe though, there are many ways you can make your RV more comfortable and have more appliances within. Overall, this park is affordable and great for those wanting to tap in with nature and have an in-tune experience.

2. Grand Canyon Camper Village

What would this list be without mentioning an RV resort on the edge of the most visited attraction in Arizona? That’s right, this RV resort is just 1 mile from the south entrance of the Grand Canyon, making it perfect for campers seeking to be close to this wonder. It makes it perfect for families. Not only does this park boast a coinvent place to stay, but they also have electric hookups on site.

It's a busy park due to its proximity to the Canyon so booking is recommended. Another recommendation people give is to make sure you have all your essentials before heading up. But you cannot get closer to the canyon if that is something you are interested in during your stay.

3. Gilbert Ray Campground

This campground is for the minimalist who wants to experience roughing it out in the desert. Gilbert Ray is close to Tucson but gives you the experience of being out in the desert. Making it another site perfect for those looking to get in touch with nature. A campground of a smaller size they have about 130 sites.

Now like I said, Gilbert Ray is made for those looking to rough it a little. They offer 30 amp hookups, water, and some accessible toilets, but you can't get a shower there. But this can easily be remedied if you plan on staying long enough and want a shower. There are many ways to revamp and have a stunning shower in your RV. Also, it is important to get comfortable with cooking and air conditioning/heating inside of the RV or with appliances outside because there are no fires allowed at this campground, this could be due to the dry nature of Arizona.

I highly recommend visiting this campground if you are looking for a more nature-driven experience and are not afraid of roughing it a little.

Williams KOA offers full hookups, free cable tv, wi-fi, a swimming pool, and a hot tub not to mention countless other amenities. Making this perfect for newbies or veterans wanting a more pampered experience. Not to mention these amenities make it perfect for families of all ages to experience the Grand Canyon and other close natural beauties.
