3. Gilbert Ray Campground

This campground is for the minimalist who wants to experience roughing it out in the desert. Gilbert Ray is close to Tucson but gives you the experience of being out in the desert. Making it another site perfect for those looking to get in touch with nature. A campground of a smaller size they have about 130 sites.

Now like I said, Gilbert Ray is made for those looking to rough it a little. They offer 30 amp hookups, water, and some accessible toilets, but you can't get a shower there. But this can easily be remedied if you plan on staying long enough and want a shower. There are many ways to revamp and have a stunning shower in your RV. Also, it is important to get comfortable with cooking and air conditioning/heating inside of the RV or with appliances outside because there are no fires allowed at this campground, this could be due to the dry nature of Arizona.

I highly recommend visiting this campground if you are looking for a more nature-driven experience and are not afraid of roughing it a little.
